Michael Thompson graduated from Notre Dame in 2017 having studied aerospace engineering. In the lab, he worked on 3-d visualization and processing of IR images. Other work experience includes internships at SpaceX where Michael worked on the grid fin hydraulic system, The Aerospace Corporation where he worked on satellite orbit optimization, and Toyota Research Institute where he worked on machine learning models for estimating vehicle parameters. Michael is currently a graduate student in the Stanford Intelligent Systems Lab. His research is in deep learning models to predict the future behavior of an agent. Even though he currently attends Stanford, he'll always be a Notre Dame fan!
