Cal Oppenheim

Cal Oppenheim successfully completed his MS in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2021. His research focused on improving the performance and reliability of the shutter valve of the AFOSR-Notre Dame Large Mach-6 Quiet Tunnel. Originally from Los Angeles, California, his prior research experience includes quasi-2D hydrogen flame propagation analysis at the University of Southern California. Cal was a member of Notre Dame Marching Band for five years and also enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, board games, baseball, and heavy metal.
