Chris Huffman graduated with his M.S. from Professor Juliano's group in 2019. At the University of Notre Dame, he characterized the flow of the ACT-1 arc-heated hypersonic wind tunnel and worked on a simulation of the AFOSR-Notre Dame Large Mach-6 Quiet Tunnel. He also performed some of the initial design of the quiet tunnel including the temperature profiles used by Boeing to optimize the shape of the diverging portion of the nozzle. He worked previously at Morgan Advanced Materials as a process engineer for their thermal ceramics division. He worked to implement more efficient methods of thermal blanket construction and improve safety measures on the shop floor. Chris currently works for the United States Army as a 1st Lieutenant.
