Mike is a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker (with over 35 years of experience). He has worked at Notre Dame’s Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Machine Shop for 7 years. Mike enjoys working side by side with the University’s future engineers and feels as though this is very important, giving these students a head start over just an educational based graduate, because of the opportunity to experience the manufacturing and fabrication end of their projects. Seeing the entire spectrum from concept, to design, to manufacturing, and then troubleshooting processes before the projects completion, representing the real world working environment.

Mike is the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering department's Welder TIG, MIG and Arc welding processes. He also runs the Machine shops TM18 Hurco CNC Lathe and the Hurco CNC vertical Mills, along with all other machinery in the shop.

Mike’s hobby’s includes asphalt Circle track racing which he has been involved with for over 35 years. He also enjoys tinkering with cars and fabrication projects of any kind.
